Deleting the cache data helps to troubleshoot, helps to increase the loading time of web pages, and increases the performance of your computer and mobile devices.


If the browser doesn't load the new version of the site, even if there have been changes on the site since the last visit, the cache can cause issues with the view and site functionality.


Mac

  • Google Chrome:
    • Press the keys (at the same time) [Shift] + [Cmd] + [Del]
    • A new browser tab with a popup window opens. In the drop-down menu at the top, you can select which time range you want to delete the cache. You can select the following options: past hour, past day, past week, last 4 weeks, the beginning of time. If you want to delete all the cache data select 'the beginning of time'
    • Enable the checkbox "Cached images and files"
    • Click on the button "Clear Browsing Data" and reload the website
  • Safari:
    • Press the keys (at the same time) [Cmd] + [Alt] + [E]
  • Firefox:
    • In the main menu of the browser select "History" and below that the sub-menu item "Clear Recent History"
    • A popup opens, in the drop-down menu, you can define the time range that you want to delete the cache. You have the following options: last hour, last two hours, last four hours, today, or everything.
    • To delete all cache data, select "Everything" from the drop-down menu.
    • Click on the arrow next to "Details" to show the different possibilities for which data should be deleted. If you want to delete only the cache, check the checkbox next to "Cache".
    • Click "Clear Now" button
    • Reload site afterwards.
  • Opera:
    • Press the keys [Shift]+[Cmd]+[Del]
    • The settings open in the browser window within a popup window. In the drop-down menu at the top of the popup, you can select the time range you want to delete the cache for. You can select from the following options: past hour, past day, past week, last 4 weeks, the beginning of time. If you want to delete all the cache data select "the beginning of time".
    • Check the checkbox "Cached images and files"
    • Click "Clear browsing data" and reload the website

Windows

  • Google Chrome:
    • Press the keys (at the same time) [Ctrl] + [Shift] + [Del]
    • A new window opens: "Clear Browser Cache"
    • Here you can select in the upper drop-down menu for which time period you want to delete the cache data. You can select between 'last hour', 'last day', 'last week', 'last four weeks' or 'all'
    • If you want to delete all cache data, select 'all'
    • Check the box in front of 'Images and Files in Cache'
    • Submit your selection by clicking the 'Delete Browser Data' button
    • Reload the site
  • Microsoft Edge:
    • Press the keys [Ctrl]+[Shift]+ [Del]
    • A new window opens: Select the option "temporary services and files".
    • Confirm your selection by clicking on the "delete" button.
  • Opera:
    • Press the keys [Ctrl]+[Shift]+ [Del].
    • A new window opens, where you can setup the options delete the cache.
    • Select the period "since installation", to empty the whole browser cache.
    • Check the option, "Images and Files in Cache".
    • Confirm your settings by clicking the button "delete browser data".
    • Refresh your page.
  • Firefox:
    • Press the keys [Ctrl]+[Shift]+ [Del]. A popup opens with the title "Clear recent history".
    • In the drop-down menu, you can define the time range you want to delete the cache. You have the following options: last hour, last two hours, last four hours, today or all.
    • To delete all data, select 'All' from the drop-down menu.
    • Click on the arrow next to "Details" and toggle the different possibilities to choose which data should be deleted. If you only want to delete the cache, then only mark the checkbox next to "Cache".
    • Click "Clear Now" to delete cache.
    • Reload the site afterwards.


Android

  • Google Chrome:
    • Open the Chrome app
    • Select 'More' in the upper right corner
    • Select the command 'Delete Browser Data' in the 'History'
    • For complete emptying and deletion, tap on 'Total Time'
    • The dialog offers you cookies, additional data and files, and images
    • Trigger the 'Delete Data' command
  • Empty individual app cache on versions up to Android 7.9:
    • Go to "Settings"
    • Call up Apps
    • Select target lobe
    • Open the "Memory"
    • Press the "Clear Cache" dialog box
  • Clear the memory for all apps up to version Android 7.9 at once:
    • Go to "Settings"
    • Call up "Memory"
    • Open "Internal Shared Memory"
    • Tap on "Data in Cache"
    • In the dialog box that opens, say "OK".
  • Newer versions of Android 8 and 9 - caches must be deleted individually:
    • Call up "Memory" in Settings (8), Call up "Apps" in Settings (9)
    • Touch "More Apps" (8), "Memory" (9)
    • Press "Empty Cache" (8 & 9)
  • Firefox
    • Open the browser
    • Go to "Settings" in the upper right corner
    • Call up "Delete private data"
    • Select "Cache" in the dialog box that appears
    • Tap the command "Delete Data" appears at bottom right


iPhone

  • Google Chrome:
    • Open up Chrome on your iPhone and tap the three dots in the upper right hand corner of the screen to access your menu
    • Tap 'More Tools' and then tap 'Clear Browsing Data', then tap 'Clear Browsing Data'
    • Tap both 'Clear Cookies' and 'Empty Cache'. Refresh Chrome.
  • Safari:
    • Select Safari from the iPhone settings menu.
    • Lower the slider all the way to off and wait a few moments for it to save.
    • Restart Safari and try to log in again.
    • Return to previous site
  • Firefox:
    • Open Firefox and tap the button in the upper right hand corner to access your Tools.
    • Tap 'Clear Recent History' and tap 'Cache' and then tap 'History'.
    • Refresh Firefox
    • The screen may show that you need to 'refresh' your recent history again even though you already did so. If so, refresh it again from the tools menu in Firefox.
    • Return to previous site.
  • Remove cache directly from Apple iPhone up to series 8 and iPhone X
    • On the iPhone go to Settings, then General, then Storage and tap on "Clear Storage" button.
    • In the next screen, tap the "All" button to clear all cached content from your iPhone. It will take longer time when you have installed a lot of games or apps.
    • Restart your phone
    • If after clearing the cache the problem persists go to settings, then security, then locate profile, then select profile and disable sync from here for web browsing (not recommended for game play).
    • Return to site.
